Access to emergency treatment with our dental Coorparoo
There are times in our lives when the unexpected happens, this can then create a need for us to seek out help and in some scenarios, we have to access some kind of emergency care and treatment. It is often thought that one of the worst kinds of pain that we can experience is severe tooth pain, as it can come on all of a sudden for seemingly no explainable reason. This may then keep us awake all night and prevent us from carrying out simple tasks such as eating and drinking.
If you have ever been kept awake with a sudden and unexplained toothache then we will know that you may have stayed awake for hours waiting for the morning to come so you can call a dental Coorparoo to access the help and advice you may need to be able to resolve your pain.
Emergency treatment and care are available with our dental Coorparoo and this allows patients of Brisbane Laser Dentist to have the knowledge that they can quickly access any help or treatment that they may urgently need.
When we see you
At our dental Coorparoo we know that patients who are in need of emergency dentistry want to be seen as soon as they possibly can and they want to access the treatment they need to remove any pain and discomfort they are living in quickly. For this reason, we will aim to see any patient who contacts us with an emergency need within twenty-four hours of the initial contact being made, normally we will find a way to see you on the same day as your call, as we want to help you feel better as soon as we possibly can.
When you attend our practice for an emergency appointment we will need to examine your teeth and gums in order to find the issue that is causing you some discomfort, as there could be a number of reasons why you are experiencing severe tooth pain. Should we find that you have a complex issue that cannot be resolved at this appointment we will seek to relieve any pain that you have with pain relief medication, this should help you to get a good night’s sleep and help you to start feeling better about life.
If we find that you are suffering from an infection or abscess we will prescribe you some medication in the form of antibiotics to treat any infection before going ahead with any physical treatment such as a tooth extraction. We need to treat infections first as we need to try to prevent them from spreading to any other teeth or part of your mouth. This means you will need to attend another appointment with us in order to fully resolve any issue you have that may be causing you some discomfort or pain.
Remember
If you ever find that you are suffering from severe and persistent tooth pain then you need to remember that emergency help is available with the service from our practice, which is only a quick phone call away.
All treatment carries risks. Individual consultation is required with one of our practitioners to ensure that the treatment is right for you.
